CHAPTER 4. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

 

(Measures for Prevention of Disturbance by Noise)
Article 64. Local public bodies shall give consideration, as much as possible, to the enhancement of environmental areas where disturbance arising from aircraft noise is judged to be severe, and to the prevention of such disturbance from aircraft noise in furnishing or executing plans for improvements in the operation of public aerodromes, other than designated aerodromes, in view of such conditions attending air transport in reference to said aerodromes, and to the of urbanization in said environmental areas.

 

2. The State shall, when any local public body intends to implement measures for the prevention of disturbance from aircraft noise based upon the planning specified under the preceding paragraph, pursue efforts to secure the necessary funds for implementing such measures, and provide other assistance.

 

(Hearing Views, etc. of the Administrator of the Local Public Body concerned)
Article 65. The Minister of Transport shall, when intending to designate the method of navigation of aircraft under the provisions of Article 3 paragraph 2 (designation of methods of navigation); or to designate an area under the provisions of Article 8-(2) (Subsidy for Noise Prevention Work in Residential Buildings), Article 9 paragraph 1 (Compensation for Removal, etc.), or Article 9-(2) paragraph 1 (Maintenance of Green Belt, etc.),hear in advance the views of the governors of the City of Tokyo and Hokkaido, and of all other Authorities with jurisdiction over the environmental area of the aerodrome in reference to said designation.

 

2. The governors of the City of Tokyo and Hokkaido, and of all other districts shall, when intending to carry out airport environmental improvement planning under the provisions of Article 9-(3) paragraph 2 (furnishing, etc. of airport environmental improvement plans), hear in advance the views of the administrators of the cities and towns concerned and then consult with the chief of the administrative agency concerned.

 

(Delegation to Ordinances of the Ministry of Transport)
Article 66. Any procedures and other matters necessary for the enforcement of this Law shall be provided by Ordinances of the Ministry of Transport, in addition to the provisions of this Law.

 

(Lapse of Time Measures)
Article 67. In the case where any Cabinet Order or Ordinance of the Ministry of Transport is enacted or altered under the provisions of this Law, necessary
